4-H Offices Can Get Free Sewing Machines While they Last

Attention 4-H Extension Offices that offer sewing as a 4-H project! AllBrands.com Sewing Machines is donating 750 Brother factory serviced and sealed sewing machines, valued at more than $100,000, to 4-H Extension Offices across the country. Each sewing machine will come with a 90-day warranty for repair or replacement as long as the same or comparable models of the sewing machines are available. AllBrands.com will ship the machines directly to your 4-H office at no charge to you.

John and Annette Douthat, owners of AllBrands.com Sewing Machines, are the generous donors of these sewing machines. Annette is a former Louisiana 4-H member and officer. John is a former state FFA officer from Florida. They have both helped judge 4-H Casual Wear Contests during Short Courses at Lousiana State University.

To get sewing machines for your 4-H Extension Office, fill out the simple one-page application available here. Completed applications must be postmarked no later than December 20, 2004 and mailed to JoAnne Leatherman, National 4-H Council at 7100 Connecticut Avenue, Chevy Chase, MD 20815. Applications also may be faxed to Joanne Leatherman's attention at 301-961-2894. Contact Leatherman at 301-961-2870 or jleatherman@fourhcouncil.edu for more information. In the case that more than 750 sewing machines are requested, recipients will be chosen on a first-come, first-serve basis.
