4-H Club to Perform on BET Tuesday Night
Tune into BET at 6 p.m. (ET/PT) Tuesday, September 26, 2006 to see members of the Bridgeton, N.J., Double Dutch 4-H Club perform a Double Dutch jump roping routine with Janet Jackson on 106&Park!
The Double Dutch 4-H club is one of many 4-H programs across the country that promote healthy living, nutrition and mental health with a combination of exercise, teamwork and, most importantly, fun!
Double Dutch is a skip rope activity in which two ropes are turned in an eggbeater fashion by two rope turners, while one or two people rhythmically jump between the simultaneously twirling ropes. For more information about Double Dutch programs, visit the American Double Dutch League Web site at www.usaddl.org or contact your county's 4-H office.
BET’s 106&Park is a live countdown of the ten most requested rap, hip hop, and R&B videos with a mix of interviews of actors, singers, athletes and others in the entertainment industry.
Stay tuned to next week’s issue of Clover Corner News for the full story.

Last Week to Promote National 4-H Week!
National 4-H Week begins Sunday, October 1, 2006. Take advantage of the National 4-H Week promotion kit available at 4HMediaResources.org during this last week. Showcasing the four H’s – Head, Heart, Hands and Health—the kit is a quick and easy tool for you to promote 4-H in your community.
The kit includes logos, print materials, ads, media relations materials, tip sheets, activity ideas and more. Many of the materials are available in a version that you can easily save and open in Microsoft Word, customize with your community and contact information and print on color printers. All files are .jpeg, Adobe .PDF or Microsoft Word. A link to help you download the Adobe Reader software is right on the site with the National 4-H Week Kit materials.
Once you have used the tools provided, please take a moment to fill out our survey so we can make National 4-H Week 2007 even better! If you have any questions, please contact Allyson McMahan at amcmahan@fourhcouncil.edu or 301-961-2915.
