4-H Afterschool: Realizing the Possibilities Pre-Conference

The 4-H Afterschool: Realizing the Possibilities pre-conference will be held during the NAE4-HA Conference in Atlanta, GA from October 20-21st.

The pre-conference, organized by the NAE4-HA Programs Committee’s 4-H Afterschool Taskforce and co-chaired by Stacey Hofmann (MD) and Chad Ripberger (NJ), will start on October 20th with a dynamic speaker who will give charge to the group’s involvement in reaching youth in the after-school timeframe. Then, attendees can choose among 16 action-packed workshops that will be offered over the two days. Along with the workshops, a poster-session will be held on Saturday and a panel discussion, “State of 4-H Afterschool,” will be held Sunday morning.

The last 4-H Afterschool event that was held nationally was the 2003 Rollout in St. Louis. This is an opportunity for all those involved with 4-H Afterschool – new and experienced – to get together to learn, share and help their programs grow!

To register, select the 4-H Afterschool pre-conference workshop through the 2007 NAE4-HA Conference registration site (regular registration ends on September 30th). There is an additional fee of $100 to register for the 4-H Afterschool: Realizing the Possibilities pre-conference.
