General Hugh Shelton Leadership Scholarships Announced
The General Hugh Shelton Leadership Initiative is pleased to offer their fourth major four-year college scholarship. The mission of this initiative, housed at NC State University, is to "inspire, educate, and develop values-based leaders who are committed to personal integrity, professional ethics, and selfless service."
This Leadership Initiative conducts scholarship programs, executive forums, and youth outreach programs. As part of the scholarship program, they have established the General Hugh Shelton National Leadership Scholarship. This scholarship was created to recognize and award America’s most outstanding high school student leader.
The scholarship is valued at $10,000 per year (and renewable), plus an annual $2,000 stipend for external leadership experiences such as study abroad. Click here to view a description of the scholarship, the criteria and the application, which is due by November 5.
