National 4-H Council Signs License Agreement with Best In Show Pet Treats

National 4-H Council has just signed a License Agreement with Best In Show Pet Treats to use the 4-H Name and/or Emblem on packages of pet treats for the purposes of fundraising for 4-H youth.

Best In Show Pet Treats, located in Louisville, KY, will launch their unique fundraising program at the 2007 NAE4-HA Conference in Atlanta, GA. Starting in fall of 2007, 4-H youth will be able to conduct fundraising campaigns utilizing 4-H licensed pet treats that will be natural, human grade and 100% made in the USA, with absolutely no imported ingredients. Three varieties of dog treats (Peanut Butter, Pumpkin Spice and Bacon & Cheese); two varieties of cat treats (Seafood and Tuna); and two varieties of horse treats (Molasses/Apple and Peppermint) will appeal to animal lovers looking for the highest quality treats for their own beloved pets.

“We are honored to introduce this new fundraising option to 4-H youth across the country,” said Jeanne Hilt, president of Best In Show Pet Treats. “As seasoned fundraising professionals, we know that consumers love to buy products for their pets, so these treats will be especially easy to sell. We also know that customers really appreciate being able to support a child for $4.00,” Hilt added.

According to Best In Show Pet Treats research, customers often purchase multiple flavor varieties due to the low price, superior quality and uniqueness of the fundraising product. Best In Show Pet Treats will provide a 50 percent profit on each package of treats sold. The pet treat fundraiser provides youth with the ideal product to meet their financial needs so they can take advantage of the myriad of opportunities the 4-H Youth Development Program provides.

“We feel a huge responsibility to make sure our pet treats are consistent with the outstanding values and image of 4-H,” Hilt added. “In fact, our goal is to work to build a new tradition that will have consumers looking for the chance to purchase these wholesome, tasty pet treats year-after-year.”

Best In Show Pet Treats is now taking preorders for Fall 2007 Fundraising Campaigns at www.pettreats4youth.com or by calling toll free 1-877-805-0452. The company will also be an exhibitor at the 2007 NAE4-HA Conference in Atlanta.
