Assistant Manager, Education & Programming Position Available

The 4-H Youth Development Center of the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, located in Columbiana, Alabama is seeking candidates for the position of Assistant Manager, Education & Programming (AMEP). The incumbent will be responsible for leadership in the design, implementation, teaching, and evaluation of existing, new and innovative Coosa River Science School (CRSS), 4-H Summer Camp, Challenge Course, and High Ropes programs. Two positions, the Program Coordinator for Environmental Education and the Program Coordinator for Outdoor Education and Recreation will report directly to the AMEP.

Minimum requirements are a bachelor's degree in education, recreation, environmental sciences, or a related field and three years of supervisory experience. Candidates should possess demonstrated experience in inquiry-based learning and familiarity with experiential learning models. Incumbent will be expected to participate in professional development experiences which increase competencies in supervision and program development. American Red Cross lifeguard certification is required prior to employment.
