Funding provided by Monsanto
National 4-H Council, in partnership with Monsanto, is pleased to announce the availability of new funding supporting Regional and State 4-H Volunteer Forums. Funding will underwrite each of the Regional 4-H Volunteer Forums and one State 4-H Volunteer Forum (or similar volunteer development event) in each state. This new support is in keeping with Monsanto's long-time interest in 4-H volunteerism through past support of the Salute to Excellence Volunteer Recognition Program.
This is a great opportunity to further 4-H volunteer development. The Request for Applications is attached to this email. It is also available on-line at http://www.fourhcouncil.edu/GrantsProgram.aspx. The two-page application is due at National 4-H Council by close of business on Friday, March 30, 2007. Collaboration among LGU's is encouraged. This is the first year of a two-year funding availability. Applications for 2008 events will be requested in the fall of 2007.
Deliverables for this opportunity are minimal and include promotion of the sponsorship through the printed event program, display of a sponsorship banner/board, and inclusion of the sponsorship in local and regional media forum promotions. One additional requirement will be the invitation for a Monsanto representative to speak at the regional and selected state events. Final reporting will simply be the provision of collateral and the number of volunteers who attended.
